Professor Dr. R. (Rob) de Wijk is the non-executive director of the 'The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS).' The center was founded by Rob de Wijk on February 1, 2007. The center focuses on national and international security, including terrorism and defense.
Since 2000, he has also been a professor of International Relations and Security at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs, Leiden University.
From 2012 to 2015, De Wijk was also the director of "The Hague Security Delta" (HSD), and from 2015 to 2017, he served as a strategic advisor.
Rob de Wijk holds various additional positions: member of the strategy group Roadmap Next Economy, member of the 'Strategic Advisors Group' of 'The Atlantic Council' in Washington, and the 'Senior Steering Group' of the 'NATO Special Forces Headquarters' in Mons. He is also a columnist for Dagblad Trouw and Energiepodium.nl.
