Benefits, Benefits, Benefits: Insights from Shell regarding an inclusive culture

December 8, 2022

During this Vision Meeting, Lencola Sullivan-Verseveldt, D&I Trainer and founding member of the D&I action team at Shell International, will share insights regarding measuring and embedding DE&I in an organisation, with an emphasis on necessary discussions and guiding individuals along the way. An open discussion will start about what has been said a lot, namely "it doesn't confront me" to the transition that D&I is crucial for literally everyone and all functions in the organisation. We will touch upon these and other elements during a moderated discussion with Lencola and other participants. You are most welcome to join!

  • Small scaled peer session
  • Open dialogue by means of the Chatham House Rule

News around George Floyd, #me2, the trend of changing names to 'Peter' on LinkedIn, and The Voice Scandals, resulted in critical notes within organisations. Awareness has been raised at the top of Shell to promote DE&I, also known as 'Benefits'. But, how can you work on it systemically and integrate it into your business? Key sources such as leadership, open conversations, measurability, creating an experience, and personal motivation are powerful and necessary to change the culture within Shell and at home.
