In this Vision Dinner, Maaike van ‘t Zand, Sustainability Director at Philips, takes you in her journey so far. She explains the main goals and shows her efforts to get sustainability in the organisation’s DNA and its way of working. Furthermore, she will talk about the role of employees, how to motivate them, and how to capture their innovative power. She does this by demonstrating the ‘Infinity Program’ in which teams compete for the best sustainable solution or process by collective impact, cascaded empowerment and orchestrated engagement. This has led to, for example, a more circular waste stream and cost reduction.

Maaike van ‘t Zand leads transformations to sustainable results, by connecting the end-to-end value chain from innovation, marketing & sales to the integrated supply chain. Her focus is on people, process and performance. She has experience in aerospace, consumer goods and health tech, of which the last 18 years at Philips. She is currently responsible for the sustainable ISC and sites program to lower the environmental footprint of Philips. She is passionate about sustainability and sailing.

Hajo Jansen is VP Western Europe at Diligent Corporation, the leading provider of modern governance software and insights. He assumed his role at the beginning of 2021 and leads all aspects of new client acquisition and expansion for the full breadth of Diligent’s solutions in the EMEA-West region. Previously served as CCO at EXIN and Managing Director EMEA at Viatech Publishing Solutions. Received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Communications from the University of Applied Sciences The Hague, in the Netherlands.
