Jan-Willem Roossink, Heineken
Supply Chain Director
Jan-Willem Roossink is the Director of Planning Europe at Heineken and has a diverse background in both finance and operational roles within the supply chain. He began his career in finance and risk management working for banks and asset managers, but soon realized his passion lay more in operational functions. In 2010, he moved to Heineken, initially working in the Africa-Middle East region as a liaison between finance and operations. Since 2013, he has fully focused on supply chain management. After ten years abroad, including roles as Brewery Manager in Congo and Supply Chain Director in Lebanon and La Réunion, he returned to Amsterdam two years ago to lead a transformation project within Heineken’s European supply chain.
In a rapidly evolving business landscape, efficiency, standardization, and collaboration are critical for staying ahead. Heineken is embracing this challenge by transforming its planning function across Europe. A key element of this transformation is the integration of data from diverse sources, a top priority in Heineken’s mission to become the best-connected brewer. By centralizing operations, implementing standardized tools, and focusing on building a strong data infrastructure, the company is laying the foundation for future innovations, including AI-driven solutions that will enhance transparency and resilience within the supply chain.
Leading these efforts is Jan-Willem Roossink, Director of Planning Europe at Heineken. During a Vision Dinner on April 15, Jan-Willem will share practical insights into how innovative technologies and data integration play pivotal roles in driving this large-scale transformation. He will also highlight the transformation’s main benefits and crucial factors for success. From managing the pace of change to fostering cross-border collaboration in a networked organization, Jan-Willem will provide a behind-the-scenes look at Heineken’s journey toward creating a more connected, efficient, and resilient supply chain.
