Ron Veldhuizen

Director Operational Technology

Ron Veldhuizen is a passionate leader with a diverse history at FrieslandCampina. Before working in Operational Technology he worked in Finance, Supply Chain and Risk management among other things. This multi-faceted background makes him especially suitable for his current role as Global Director Operational Technology.

Bret Baas

Manager IT & Digital

Bret Baas’ goal is to make RAI Amsterdam from the cultural landmark it is into a cultural landmark that doubles as the innovation hub of the Netherlands. He has already had some notable successes in that regard and is not going to stop anytime soon.

RAI Amsterdam

There are no trends as strong at the moment as the trend towards a more connected world. From cell phones and services that allow us to (video)call each other all over the world to companies connecting factories to centralized infrastructures for streamlined (factory) operation, almost everything gets interconnected. From consumers to industry, logistics and warehouses.

Ron Veldhuizen, Global Director Operational Technology at FrieslandCampina and Bret Baas, Director IT & Digital at RAI Amsterdam, have very different jobs but are both working towards connectivity in their own way. For Bret connectivity is all about reliability and he will tell us all about the transition RAI made to 5G and the strategy behind it. For Ron connectivity means connecting the many production facilities that FrieslandCampina operates all over the world, with a global OT-organization and standard global solutions. This way Ron, and FrieslandCampina, can transform their global OT-infrastructure and build the foundation that is needed for further innovation.
