During this Vision Dinner, Wim Vanderpoorten will share allnex’s approach to managing often conflicting goals of innovation and security in an increasingly interconnected world. He will elaborate on challenges concerning security and data enablement in relation to allnex’s overall digital transformation, highlighting the integration and optimisation of data and systems and clustering data in a secure way to use it to their competitive advantage.

Wim is a very experienced IT professional with both national and international experience. allnex is a chemical company that operates in a competitive industry with many mergers and acquisitions. Wim managed teams in the midst of this fast-changing environment of acquisitions, divestitures, and economic restructuring. Next to his IT experience, Wim is passionate about innovation and fulfilled several functions concerning integrating, implementing, and continuous improvement of, amongst others, supply chain, commerce, and business innovations.



In the past few years, allnex has experienced an evolution in their digital transformation. In order to guide allnex through this transition, a roadmap defining the approach and governance of the transformation process was created two years ago. The roadmap takes into account enterprise risk management in an ever expanding environment of mergers and acquisitions. Bridging cultural differences and the collaboration with different business units and development teams have been an essential part of this journey. But how do you safely guide your organisation through a digital transformation focused on business outcomes while minimising disruption?
