As Chief Customer & Commerce Officer Lieke aims to transform Nationale-Nederlanden into a digital leader with customer centricity and data at its core. Previously she held digital leadership roles at Intergamma, ING and Ahold. Recurring themes in her work are customer focus, innovation, tech, user experience, e-commerce and the power of data & AI. Lieke has a background in strategy consulting and holds an INSEAD MBA.

After working at ING and Nationale-Nederlanden for around 20 years, possessing several positions in marketing and data management, Tjerrie is the Chief Analytics Officer from NN Group since March 2023. He is committed in executing AI in the company, at scale and in a safe way.



AI, Digital and Data are frequently used buzzwords within companies. However, integrating and commercialising them to ensure business value is a critical challenge. Lieke Luttmer, Chief Customer & Commerce Officer, together with Tjerrie Smit, Chief Analytics Officer at Nationale-Nederlanden Group, is leading NN’s digital transformation to address this challenge. Using a hybrid structure that positions IT and Data-related employees near the core business while maintaining a centralized way of working, Lieke tackles questions such as how to build digital literacy, bring technology to business leaders and collaborate in a highly diversified company.
