It is our honor to welcome you to Flevum’s annual flagship gathering: the Seaside Dinner 2025 at the Noordwijk beach. Each year, we invite 150 senior leaders from public and private organizations to reflect, connect, and look ahead. It is our moment to thank you, and explore the challenges and responsibilities that come with modern leadership.

In response to the 2025 NATO Summit, this year’s theme focuses on the uncertainties that lie ahead. We are entering an era where threats are less visible, more complex, and increasingly cross boundaries between digital, economic, and societal domains. Traditional concepts of security no longer suffice. The question is no longer if we need to prepare, but how.

Keynote speaker: Admiral (Ret.) Rob Bauer, Former Chair of the NATO Military Committee
As one of the most senior military strategists in Europe in recent years, Admiral (Ret.) Bauer was responsible for reshaping NATO’s defense strategy, readiness, and coordination across allied nations. Rob Bauer issues an urgent message, which is central to the 2025 NATO Summit: “we are not at war, but we are no longer at peace either.”

Collective defense requires action from businesses, governments, and private organizations as well. Not out of a sense of fear, but out of strategic awareness and collective responsibility. A robust military strategy is not enough if society itself is not resilient: we need to look at our vulnerabilities across the board, also in areas such as logistics, healthcare, finance and food.

During the 2025 Seaside Dinner, Rob Bauer will engage in an interactive conversation with the Flevum network. Join us for a festive program to rethink security and resilience in an interconnected world, to explore how we must evolve to meet the uncertainties ahead, and to connect with leaders from various industries. We look forward to welcoming you to this special event.
