Surajeet Ghosh, HEINEKEN
Global Director of Analytics
Surajeet Ghosh is currently the Global Director of Analytics in Heineken, and is leading the efforts in shaping a centralized Analytics Capability in Heineken which aims to bring together all Analytics initiatives under one umbrella. Before Heineken, Surajeet was working for Amazon, Luxembourg where he first led the Data Science team for Amazon Books (also covering e-books) and later on, led the Commercial Data Science team for Amazon Prime Video, its streaming service for movies and TV series. Throughout his career, Surajeet’s mission has been to empower businesses with data-driven insights, which create value for consumers, customers, vendors and the organization itself.
As part of its ambition to become the best-connected brewer, HEINEKEN is constantly seeking ways that technology can advance its mission. This includes building connections between corporate executives and the information they need to make impactful, data-driven decisions; connections between employees and the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and efficiently; and, ultimately, connections between consumers and the beer they love. For that reason, Heineken is investing in using AI solutions in its operations. For example, Heineken uses AI to optimize its promotion strategy by analysing the most suitable strategy per country, and another AI tool helps sales teams create tailored solutions for customers. These are small examples of many efforts; the ultimate goal of Heineken’s data department is to improve the data-driven culture and to embed big products that create value for the entire organisation.
