Saskia Bos, Maasstad Ziekenhuis
CIO/Manager Information, Medical Technology and Services
Saskia has been active in the field of technology for over 20 years. In her role at Maasstad Hospital, she is responsible, among other things, for the ICT and Medical Technology of the hospital and she and her team are also responsible for the ICT services towards the Spijkenisse Medical Center. In addition, Saskia is chair of the Regional Data Exchange Steering Group, in which 10 regional hospitals set up and implement data exchange, is a member of the Santeon ICT board and is active in the Santeon Thuis and HIPS programmes. Saskia is happy to share more about her role and the digital strategy of Maasstad Hospital.
Digital healthcare applications offer opportunities in healthcare. This is partly to find a suitable answer to the growing demand for care and shrinkage in the care supply. The IZA asks for regional cooperation, digitization and data exchange, among other things. Many parties are therefore working on new innovations and digital infrastructures. In order to actually scale up initiatives, in addition to technology, changes in processes, organization and appropriate financing are also required.
