During this Virtual Round Table, Merel Goossens, Head of People Growth at Adyen, will share insights regarding the growth journey of Adyen and the optimisation of the employee experience. Merel will kick-off the dialogue with the question: how can HR set the basis for organisational culture and people growth? Besides, as a leader, how do you deal with different generations of employees, including their preferences and talents? We will touch upon these and other questions during a moderated discussion with Merel and other participants. You are most welcome to join!
Merel Goossens, Adyen
Head of People Growth
Merel Goossens has been working within Adyen for more than 7 years. Before she became Head of People Growth, Merel was HR Business Partner Lead for Tech at Adyen and worked at Booking.com. Merel is passionate about leadership, Diversity & Inclusion, motivating and developing people, and growing teams. She started her journey at Adyen building recruitment from scratch and is now responsible for HR Business Partnering, Learning and Development, and DEI in which she focuses heavily on leadership development, talent retention, and building a healthy organization.
Today’s world of rapid digital transformation has created a shortage of key skills in the labour market, in which Tech Talent forms a “hot” target. Payment platform Adyen deals with the war for tech talent as well. With the enormous transition from start-up to scale-up, they face organisational challenges in culture, leadership development, and employees’ skills (including people skills). Adyen tries to counter this with its new strategy, a culture of responsibility, and the alignment between HR and the company’s brand as the basis for success.
