Wiesje ten Hoor, Head of People Development, Post NL
Prior to joining PostNL in 2018, Wiesje was, among others, Global Director Leadership/Management Development at Philips, Global Director Learning and Organization Development at Philips International and Leadership & Talent Management Executive Advisor at Rabobank.
PostNL seeks to ensure that their talent pool remains passionate and that
employees can develop within the organisation. To accomplish this, PostNL provides the opportunity for their employees to develop new skills. In practice, this means that PostNL rolls out extensive training programs such as their 'Digital Academy', a program for PostNL's top 150 leaders to further accelerate the company's digital transformation.
Talent management practices have evolved over the years. The war on talent has created an environment in which most companies struggle to attract external talent. Once the right people have been attracted their skills also tend to lose relevance quickly in today’s hyper-changing environment. This has lead to a renaissance of Strategic Talent Management in which companies provide training to their employees to help them grow to their optimal capabilities while keeping organizational objectives in mind.
