With 23 years of experience and having held 11 positions within ABN AMRO, Sylvia Bosma can rightfully be called an expert when it comes to the "ABN AMRO organization." From Sales Manager to her current role as Procurement Head of Category, Sylvia has taken on numerous challenges within the bank. Currently, she is actively engaged in addressing several strategic issues, such as labor shortages, sustainability challenges, and the migration of systems within the procurement department and among suppliers.

With the upcoming European ESG legislation in 2025, it is crucial to understand the impact of your supply chain. Sylvia Bosma, Procurement Head of Category at ABN AMRO, is working diligently to prepare her department for these challenges. She is working on both third-party and fourth-party risk management to enable audits of her suppliers' suppliers, including collaborating with organizations that provide supplier accreditation. She is also exploring how sustainability can be integrated into contracts in an operationally feasible manner. Furthermore, she is committed to making decision-making within the procurement department more data-driven, especially in light of the increasing ESG reporting standards.
