In 2002 the EU launched its ePrivacy Directive (informally coined the Cookie Law) and legislation regarding digital marketing has not stopped since. LeasePlan had to adjust its online presence to comply with these regulations like most companies but they turned that obligation into a chance to future-proof the organization in a few key ways.
