During this Vision Dinner, Benjamin Blaauw, Head of Development Automation at ABN AMRO will elaborate on the development of layered business application platforms that have a strong technical foundation but are flexible, customisable and easy to use for business units. Furthermore, Benjamin will discuss developments in the hyperautomation journey of ABN AMRO that combines cutting-edge technology to improve business processes. Subsequently, Erik Beverlo, Director Process Automation, will dive deeper into the value these developments provide from a business point of view.

Benjamin Blaauw is an experienced IT leader, working at ABN AMRO since 2009. Within different departments, he has led teams functioning as facilitators of solving problems and improving processes. Since October 2020, Benjamin has been appointed as Head of Development Automation in which he provides the organisation with effective and user-friendly application platforms, and leads the hyperautomation journey within ABN AMRO, offering his organisation digital solutions that accelerate and improve internal processes and increase the customer experience.

Director Process Automation

Erik Beverlo has been working at ABN AMRO for 13 years, during which he led the (digital) transformations within various departments. The focus under his leadership is on efficiency and effectiveness always with the customer in mind, using the capabilities of IT and Digital. As Director Process Automation, Erik brings challenges in business (processes) together with IT solutions. As such, he is responsible for the hyperautomation throughout ABN AMRO which fosters the bank's digital transformation.
