Topic

The paints and coatings industry can play a key role in decarbonizing manufacturing industries globally. Therefore, AkzoNobel implemented ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability in all business operations. The new strategic introduction of People, Planet, and Paint focuses on making sustainability a daily priority within the company. A few goals are to halve the carbon reduction emissions by 2030 for the whole value chain, use 100% renewable electricity and have no non-reusable waste. Executing this vision requires innovative solutions and business transformations. But how do you synergise these two aspects within the value chain? How do you manage and combine efforts throughout an organisation? How do you balance carbon emission reduction with quality and material management?
