During this Vision Dinner, Lourens Visser, CIO Rijk, will take you through the cloud strategy with associated implementation frameworks and explain how the use of cloud contributes to achieving the objectives of the I-Strategy 2021-2025. Lourens Visser has been CIO Rijk at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations since September 2019. Prior to that, he was CIO of the Judicial Institutions Agency and Port of Rotterdam and held various management positions at IBM, Accenture and Logica. Lourens Visser was recently named 'European digital leader of the year 2023' by CIONET in the category Government.

In order to better serve citizens and businesses, the subject of digitization is high on the government's agenda. However, further digitization of services requires a solid, future-proof, flexible and scalable digital infrastructure. The movement to the cloud, with its promise of agility, scalability and speed, plays an important role in this and helps to break free from legacy. A movement that is further reinforced by the letter to parliament 'Government-wide cloud policy 2022'. But what does this mean for practical implementation?
