During this Vision Dinner / Virtual Round Table, Olivier Labe, CFO of BNG Bank, will share his vision on measuring impact both from a strategic and regulatory perspective and its addition to the finance function. He will share how BNG Bank’s self-developed methodology is inherently linked to engagement strategy. Mr. Labe earned a Master of Advanced Studies in Banking and Finances from the University of Paris I – Sorbonne and a diploma in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam. He also followed various Executive Development Programs at INSEAD. His career started in 1994 at the French Telecom company Alcatel, first as Treasurer of a subsidiary and later as a Dealer Currency Options. In 1998, he joined Unilever Headquarters in Rotterdam where he held various Treasury functions before becoming Manager Global Treasury Operations Europe in 2005. Mr. Labe joined BNG Bank in 2007 and became Managing Director Treasury & Capital Markets in 2010. He has been member of the Executive Board since 2015and became CFO of BNG Bank in 2018. Mr Labe lives and works in The Hague. He is married and has 3 children. He has both the French and the Dutch nationality.

BNG Bank is in 1914 begonnen als de Gemeentelijke Kredietbank en verstrekte gemeenten financiering om hun maatschappelijke taak te kunnen vervullen. Deze bijdrage aan de Nederlandse publieke sector is anno 2022 nog steeds het doel van de bank, gedreven door hun ''Road to Impact''-strategie. Impact proberen te kwantificeren en rapporteren is een nieuwe toevoeging aan de kernprocessen van BNG Bank. Ondertussen worden regels en voorschriften met betrekking tot milieu- en sociale impact steeds belangrijker voor banken en bedrijven. Als CFO spelen Olivier Labe en zijn team een belangrijke rol bij het navigeren door de uitdagingen van het ontwikkelen en inbedden van innovatieve benaderingen voor het meten van impact die passen bij de specifieke strategie van BNG Bank, terwijl ze generieke regels en voorschriften over dit onderwerp implementeren.
