Chairman Executive Board
Ruben Wenselaar (1961) is chairman (CEO) of the Board of Directors. After studying Business Economics, Ruben worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, DAF, Fuji Photo Film and Cadans in management and executive positions in the fields of finance, IT and HRM. In 2002 he became chairman of the board of Amicon Zorgverzekeraar, after which he joined the Board of Directors of Menzis in 2004, which was created after the merger of Amicon with Geové.
The Menzis cooperative is one of the major health insurers in the Netherlands. Menzis provides the right care, in the right place, at the right time, in the right way. The organization has two labels: Menzis and Anderzorg. With about 1500 FTE colleagues in Enschede, Groningen and Wageningen, they offer basic insurance, supplementary insurance and dental insurance for more than 2 million customers.
During the current health crisis, the importance of a healthy workforce has only been underlined. In the period of hybrid work, Menzis has focused on a prevention policy in which employees (and customers) are helped to follow a lifestyle that is as healthy as possible. During this meeting, Ruben Wenselaar, Chairman of the Board, will discuss this with you and will show you how Menzis has implemented the health policy and what role he has played as a director.
