Peter will talk to us about how generative AI is causing a systemic change for citizens, businesses, and government, and how we can seize the opportunities while mitigating risks. Chief Scientist Officer

Peter graduated with honors in physics from Utrecht University and earned his doctorate in motion vision in 1990. He held various leadership roles at TNO, including head of the Information Processing department and director of business units. From 2010 to 2017, he served as the Managing Director of Technical Sciences at TNO.

As Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Peter was a member of the TNO Executive Board from 2019 to 2023, and he currently holds the position of Chief Scientist at TNO. Since 2001, he has been a part-time professor, initially at the University of Amsterdam and later (from 2006) at Utrecht University. Peter has also served on advisory boards, including the NATO Research and Technology Board and the Societal Advisory Board of the KNMI.
