Bianca Prins, ING
Global Head of Accessibility
Bianca Prins has been with ING for over six years and is the company’s first Global Head of Accessibility. In this role, she is responsible for and the pioneer in the development of the global strategic accessibility approach. She emphasizes the role of accessibility, and not by separating function tasks as jobs for people with disabilities. Bianca tries to increase the attention to the economic value of the disability community for businesses. Her vision is expressed in the following quote: "You cannot have D&I without accessibility, you can have accessibility without D&I!".
Employees with disabilities have elevated their voices during recent years, mainly in regard to hybrid and remote work, being paid more than a subminimum wage, and having access to services like everyone else. ING plays a crucial role in this regard and they took responsibility by establishing the accessible customer journey assessment in 2018 and standardising changes in the products and services, such as an adjusted bank pass and ATM for the visually impaired.
