The Onset of Change in Crisis

Flevum organised this session in response to the huge and very sudden challenges that the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic brought in the first months after the epidemic hit. While the 1.5 meter society has been ingrained in our communities for some time now, the challenges for organisations in the vital sectors remained unimaginably large. In the days following the breakout of the COVID-19, measures had to be implemented quickly, and be communicated clearly. In this session, the HR Director of Albert Heijn explained how the organisation dealt with this. 

From the team of directors that ran Albert Heijn, a leading organisation in the market, hard-hitting transformations were decided upon and implemented. During this session, the vision on the 1,5 meter society and the inherent changes this brought for the design of the working space from the perspective of Albert Heijn were discussed. In the conversation the focus was primarily put on the future and how lasting changes in the workforce could successfully be implemented.
