The COVID-19 pandemic, radical political events such as the war in Ukraine and consequential economical development have irrevocably changed long-standing business paradigms. It is imperative for manufacturers to prepare for both major and minor disruptions that threaten “business as usual.” Smart Industry solutions play a pivotal role in creating a resilient and resilient organization. Meanwhile, climate change poses a global challenge. Goals of efficiency of production processes are now complemented by goals for sustainable production.
Industry 4.0 technologies support the creation of future-proof manufacturing companies. In order to take advantage of the benefits offered by new technologies, a coordinated approach to stepwise modernization of operations aimed at rethinking production processes is needed.
